Overview

  • The DTSY866/DSSY866 electronic three-phase prepaid energy meter (RS485) (hereinafter referred to as the "instrument") is a high-tech product manufactured using advanced ultra-low power large-scale integrated circuit technology and SMT process. The key components are selected from well-known brands of long-life devices, which improves the reliability and lifespan of the product.

  • The electric energy meter consists of a single metering unit and a main control unit, with LCD display, infrared, and RS485 communication functions. This meter has significant advantages such as high measurement accuracy, good stability, strong overload capacity, and high reliability. Can provide advanced and reliable measurement tools for cost control and billing.

working principle

  • The circuit metering part adopts imported specialized metering chips, which can accurately measure active energy. The circuit mainly consists of A/D conversion, power calculation, energy accumulation, and anti creep components. It has the characteristics of high reliability, high precision, and low power consumption. The energy meter is powered by a transformer. The metering chip converts electrical energy into pulses, which are then collected and accumulated by the CPU chip. It also performs functions such as infrared meter reading, 485 meter reading, and LCD display. Far infrared communication uses 38kHz modulation, with a communication distance of no less than 5 meters. Redundant design is adopted for data security, with multiple backups to ensure the reliability of measurement data.

Basic functions

1. Measurement function

  • Time division measurement of active positive and negative electricity can be used to set the combined active electricity and save all current electricity data.

  • The active combination method can be set through 04000601 and can only be set to the following values (default is 05):

    01: Total active energy=positive active energy (actual)

    04: Total active energy=Reverse active energy (actual)

    05: Total active energy=forward active energy (actual)+reverse active energy (actual)


2. Cost control function

  • Cost controlled energy meters are divided into local cost controlled energy meters and remote cost controlled energy meters. Local cost controlled energy meters have both local and remote cost control functions.

  • Local cost control function

    1) Local operations such as parameter setting, account opening, and power purchase are carried out through IC card solid-state media.

    2) Local metering and billing functions are available.

    3) Record the data of the last 10 electricity purchases locally.

    4) Local control functions include opening/closing/direct closing, alarm/alarm release.

    5) When using IC cards for various operations, strict security authentication is required.


3. Measurement and monitoring

Capable of measuring, recording, and displaying operational parameters such as voltage, current, power, and power factor of the current energy meter.


4. Communication interface

  • It has modulated infrared and RS485 communication interfaces, and the physical layers of the communication interfaces are independent of each other. Damage to one communication interface does not affect the other interface.

  • RS485 communication: The communication baud rate can be flexibly set, with standard rates of 1200bps, 2400bps, 4800bps, 9600bps, and a default of 2400bps; Half duplex. The communication protocol complies with DL/T645-2007 "Multifunctional Table Communication Protocol".

  • Infrared communication interface: The default communication rate for modulated infrared is 1200bps; Communication distance: ≥ 5m, communication angle: directly above, left, and right of the central axis | θ | ≥ 30 °, directly below the central axis | θ | ≥ 45 °

  • RS485 communication interface: To protect the electricity meter, the RS485 communication interface is electrically isolated from the internal circuit of the energy meter and has a failure protection circuit.


5. Interface output

Pulse output can be used for calibration or pulse acquisition, with a pulse output width of (80 ± 16) ms.


6. LED indicator

  • The energy meter uses three high brightness, long-life LED indicator lights, with the following functions:

    Pulse indicator light: It flashes when measuring active energy and goes off normally.

    Trip indicator light: It lights up when the load switch is disconnected and goes off normally.

    - Alarm indicator light: It lights up when various events alarm and goes off normally.


  • The communication indicator symbol flashes on the LCD screen when 485 communication is successful, and usually goes off.


7. LCD display

  • Using a large LCD screen to display battery level and parameters, the display is intuitive and clear, making meter reading convenient.

  • It has an automatic loop display mode, and the display time can be set (5-20 seconds) when using automatic loop display. The display content can be programmed

  • Strictly prohibit live installation and wiring!

  • The energy meter should be installed indoors as much as possible, and a dedicated instrument box should be used for outdoor installation protection. The installation base plate should be fixed on a sturdy, fire-resistant, and vibration resistant wall surface. There should be no corrosive gases in the surrounding air when installing an electric energy meter, and dust, salt spray, etc. should be avoided.

  • When using an electric energy meter, it is necessary to strictly follow the wiring diagram inside the tail cover of the meter. It is recommended to use copper wire for the leads connected to the terminal block. The screws that fix the leads inside the terminal block should be tightened to avoid burning out the electric energy meter due to poor contact and heat generation.


Transportation and Storage

  • The electricity meter must be transported and stored in its original packaging condition. The product should not be subjected to severe impact during transportation and unpacking, and should be transported and stored in accordance with GB/T15464-1995 "General Technical Conditions for Packaging of Instruments and Meters". The products are stored in the warehouse and placed on shelves, with a maximum stacking height of five layers. There must be no corrosive gases present in the storage environment.
