Overview

  • The DDS228 single-phase electronic energy meter (hereinafter referred to as the electric meter) is a measuring instrument that uses microelectronics technology to measure electrical energy. Its various technical indicators comply with the requirements of GB/T17215.321-2008 standard. Adopting a fully shielded and sealed structure, it has the characteristics of good resistance to electromagnetic interference, low self consumption and energy saving, high precision, anti-theft, high overload, and long service life.


Purpose and scope of application

  • The DDS228 electronic energy meter (including 1.0 and 2.0 levels) is suitable for measuring active energy at a frequency of 50Hz and is installed in indoor or outdoor meter boxes for use. Suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -20 ℃ to 55 ℃ (with a maximum operating range of -30 ℃ to 60 ℃), relative humidity not exceeding 85%, and no corrosive gases in the surrounding air to avoid the effects of dust, salt spray, condensation, etc.


working principle

  • An electric energy meter obtains a voltage sampling signal from a voltage divider, a current sampling signal from a current divider, a voltage current product signal from a multiplier, and then generates a counting pulse with a frequency proportional to the product of voltage and current through frequency conversion. By dividing the frequency, the electric energy is measured.

  • Starting current: Under the conditions of rated voltage, rated frequency, and COS φ=1.0, when the first level meter is 0.004Ib and the second level meter is 0.005Ib, the electric energy meter works normally.

  • Submersion: When there is no current in the circuit of the electric meter and the voltage applied to the circuit is 115% of the rated value, the output should not generate more than one pulse.

  • Power consumption: ≤ 2W


Installation and Usage

  • The electric meter must pass the inspection before leaving the factory and be sealed with lead before installation and use. If there is no lead seal or it has been stored for too long, relevant departments should be asked to re verify and seal it before installation and use.

  • The electric meter should be installed in a dry and ventilated place, and the bottom plate for installing the electric meter should be fixed on a sturdy, fire-resistant, and vibration resistant wall, with an installation height of about 1.8 meters.

  • Connect the wires according to the circuit diagram and tighten the wiring screws.

  • When the meter displays, the red window on the meter nameplate represents decimals and the black window represents integers. The reading of an electric meter connected through a transformer must be multiplied by the transformation ratio to obtain the actual amount of electrical energy.


Transportation and storage

  • Electric meters should not be subjected to severe impacts during transportation and unpacking. On the packaging box, there are signs such as "upward", "handle with care", "moisture-proof", "moisture-proof", etc.

  • Keep the electric energy meter in its original packaging, with an ambient temperature not exceeding -40 ℃ to 70 ℃, a relative humidity not exceeding 85%, and no corrosive gases in the air.

  • When storing electricity meters in the warehouse, they should be placed on shelves with a stacking height of no more than 5 boxes; After unpacking, the stacking height of a single packaged electric meter should not exceed 5 meters, and those with removed inner packaging should not be stored.
