Overview

The DDS228 single-phase electronic energy meter (meter display) is an energy metering product developed and produced by our company, suitable for measuring single-phase AC active energy with a rated voltage of 220V and a frequency of 50Hz. This table has the advantages of high reliability, high accuracy, and long lifespan. It is suitable for a wide voltage range and does not require adjustment after leaving the factory. It can be widely used in the measurement of single-phase AC power in urban, rural, or factory enterprises.

working principle

After high-precision sampling, the measured AC voltage and current are sent to a dedicated energy metering chip for a series of digital processing, which converts them into pulse frequency signals proportional to the active power and motor drive signals; The pulse frequency signal drives the electric energy pulse lamp, and the motor drive signal drives the meter to accumulate electricity. The principle block diagram is shown in Figure 1.

Technical Features

Main Function Introduction

1. Measurement function

  • It has the function of measuring positive and negative active energy, and the negative active energy is included in the positive active energy.


2 Display function

  • a) The meter displays the cumulative electricity consumption in kWh, with 6 digits and 1 decimal place.

  • b) The energy meter uses high brightness, long-life LED as the indicator light;

    Pulse indicator light: red, usually off, flashing when measuring active energy.


3 pulse output

  • The electric energy meter has the function of outputting LED pulses and electrical pulses proportional to the measured electrical energy. The characteristics of the optical testing output device comply with the requirements of GB/T17215.211-2006. The characteristics of the electrical test output device comply with the requirements of GB/T15284-2002.


Installation and Wiring

1. The installation dimensions of the electric meter are shown in Figure 3. There are hook screw holes on the upper part of the meter, which are fixed with M4 hook screws. There are two installation holes on the lower part of the meter, which are fixed to the terminal block with M4 × 10 or M4 × 12 ordinary screws.

2. Main terminal and auxiliary terminal wiring

The main terminal wiring is shown in Figure 4, where 1 is an L input, 2 is an L output, 3 is an N input, and 4 is an N output. There are 8 auxiliary terminals above the main terminal of the electric energy meter, of which 7 and 8 are metering pulse outputs

The energy meter should be installed indoors as much as possible, and a dedicated instrument box should be used for outdoor installation protection. The installation base plate should be fixed on a sturdy, fire-resistant, and vibration resistant wall surface. There should be no corrosive gases in the surrounding air when installing an electric energy meter, and dust, salt spray, etc. should be avoided.

When using an electric energy meter, it is necessary to strictly follow the wiring diagram inside the tail cover of the meter. It is recommended to use copper wire for the leads connected to the terminal block. The screws that fix the leads inside the terminal block should be tightened to avoid burning out the electric energy meter due to poor contact and heat generation.


Transportation and Storage

The product should not be subjected to severe impact during transportation and unpacking, and should be transported and stored in accordance with GB/T15464-1995 "General Technical Conditions for Packaging of Instruments and Meters". The inventory and storage should be stored on brackets under the original packaging conditions, with a stacking height of no more than 5 layers. The storage area should be clean, with an ambient temperature of no more than -40 ℃~+70 ℃, a relative humidity of no more than 95%, and no corrosive gases or molds in the air.


Precautions

There are no user adjustable devices inside this table.

When installing and using, all wiring must be tightened to avoid heating and damaging the energy meter due to poor contact. The incoming and outgoing power lines cannot be reversed. The energy meter should be installed indoors in a ventilated and dry place to avoid direct exposure of strong light to the infrared receiving window. When using an infrared interface for communication, strong light should be avoided from interfering with the infrared communication interface, and attention should be paid to adjusting the infrared communication distance and angle to ensure the reliability of communication.
